ABOUT US
Our Family Story Furniture. Family. Richmond.
For over 70 years, our family has been helping families make their houses feel like home. It all started in 1954, when Paul and Katherine Richert, opened Richert Auction and Furniture right here in Richmond, Indiana. In 1982, their son, Roger Richert, took over the family business and began building on the foundation they had created. Roger expanded the business with furniture outlet locations throughout East Central Indiana, always keeping the focus on value and taking care of the customer. In 2004, Roger and his wife Theresa took on a very special project — purchasing and restoring Richmond’s historic 1886 Miller Brothers Hardware building. That building became the home of Richmond Furniture Gallery. It was also the year the next generation joined the family business. Roger’s daughter, Natalie Ripperger, came on board, working alongside her dad and Theresa. And now, the story continues.
